Document Description
The project includes a total of five projects included in the Federal Emergency Management Agency's (FEMA) program associated with the 2006-2006 New Year Storm Event. These projects are included in the Governor's Office of Emergency Services Declaration #2006-01, issuead February 03, 2006. This Declaration corresponds with Presidential Declaration DR-1928-CA. FEMA has Categorically Excluded these projects from the need to conduct environmental review under the national Enviromental Policy Act (NEPA).
The project essentially involves replacement of rock rip-rap and engineered backfill along embankments of the facilities. Replacement of timbersm crossbeams, and pilings will be made at the southern breakwater at the Sport Fishing Center.
