Document Description
Foster Avenue currently terminates at Eastern Avenue. The City of Arcata proposes to extend Foster Avenue eastward to Sunset Ave through land that is currently undeveloped. The undeveloped land is the site of former Twin Parks Lumber Mill (APN 505-121-021, -019). The City does not own the proposed project property or have right-of-ways.
The "Proposed Design" would extend Foster Ave from its eastern terminus eastward along the railroad right-of-way to join with Sunset Ave near Jay Street. The "Alternative Design" would extend Foster eastward past the existing residences and alley and then curve northward to intersect Sunset Avenue near Wilson Street.
