DWR is requesting a minor amendment of the Incidental Take Permit (ITP) for Longfin Smelt for California State Water Project Delta Facilities and Operations (ITP No. 2081-2009-001-03), consisting only of an extension of the expiration date of the ITP from December 31, 2018 to December 31, 2019 unless superseded by an ITP issued by the California Department of Wildlife prior to that date, and a change in the date when the Suisun Marsh Salinity Control Gates may be operated during the time period of July 1, 2019 through October 1 2019. All other provisions of the LFS ITP would remain in effect during the period of extension, and all SWP operations would continue to comply with the terms of the National Marine Fisheries Services and United State Fish and Wildlife biological opinions pursuant to the Consistency Determinations issued under Section 2081 of the CA Fish and Game Code.
