Document Description
The City Council of the City of Folsom certified an EIR for the Folsom South of US 50 Specific Plan Area Project on June 14, 2011. The City has prepared an Addendum to the EIR in accordance with CEQA analyzing the potential incremental environmental impacts of an amendment to the Folsom Plan Area Specific Plan. Specifically, this addendum analyzed the effects of an increase in residentially-designated land and a substantial decrease in commercially-designated land. The project would remove the Entertainment Overlay Combining Zone and expand the uses allowed within the GC and RC land use designations. There is potential for 922 additional dwelling units and 1.4 million fewer nonresidential square ft. None of the conditions described in Section 15162 of the CEQA Guidelines calling for the preparation of a subsequent EIR have occurred.
