Designation of California's north central coast component of statewide network of marine protected areas as required by the Marine Life Protection Act. Project objectives are to help protect, maintain, restore, enhance and manage living marine resources. Take of finfish, marine plants, and/or invertebrates would be prohibited or restricted in several discrete areas by regulations established by the Fish and Game Commission and implemented by the Department of Fish and Game.
