Reasons for Exemption
The project as proposed will remove only those trees and bushes necessary to break-up the horizontal and vertical continuity of fuel. The healthy, mature and scenic trees will be retained to create a "shaded fuel break." No unusual conditions existing that would preclude the use of a NOE. The Dept. has concluded that no significant impacts would occur.
