Document Description
The proposed plan is to build a new fish passage structure with parallel juvenile and adult ladders to the right of the existing weir and ladder structure. In addition, the diversion intake structure will be rebuilt to current standards. Such structures would require construction of a new concrete walls to replace the existing steel walls and support the new construction. Downstream of the diversion, three existing, failing log weir structures installed by Santa Cruz County in the mid 1990's will be removed and replaced with five rock weirs to maintain grade control for the new fish ladder entrance. Two existing concrete weirs at the base of the diversion will be modified to accommodate the proposed, larger fish passage structure.
