Document Description
American Ethanol, Inc. (AEI) proposes to construct and operate a corn-based ethanol production plant in northern Santa Barbara County. The proposed plant would produce 110 million gallons per year (mmgy) for ethanol for blending with gasoline. The plant would use corn shipped by railcar from the Midwest for feedstock and would operate 350 days per year, 24 hours per day. Components of the plant include tanks and vessels of varying sizes, piping, storage and operations and maintenance buildings. The project also includes a new 10-inch diameter PVC pipeline to transport process water to the site from the Laguna County Sanitation District wastewater treatment plant.
