The Santa Maria Public Airport District (SMPAD) has prepared an update to their Master Plan for the Santa Maria Public Airport (SMX). A master plan is intended to guide the development of an airport over a 20 yr period, by proposing phased development intended to meet the forecasted needs of the airport. The SMX Master Plan has been updated to meet the demands of the aviation community in a financially, socially, and environmentally responsible manner.
