Document Description
The proposed project would create approx. 40 acres of native wetlands mitigation habitat and native transitional uplands habitat. The project would est. a permanent surface connection to the Tijuana River, expand the functional floodplain south of the Tijuana River and west of the Smuggler's Gulch Channel repair a breach in a natural levee by use of a berm extension, and provide a system of pedestrian/equestrian trails connected to existing trail segments located throughout the Tijuana River Valley Regional Park, Tijuana Slough National Wildlife Refuge, and Border Field State Park.
