The project is to approve a Hazardous Waste Facility Permit Renewal Application (the "Renewal Application") for the hazardous waste storage and treatment facility at the Shell Martinez Refinery, which is owned by Equilon Enterprises LLC and operated by Shell Oil Products US (the 'Refinery'). The Refinery, including the hazardous waste facility, is located at 3485 Pacheco Boulevard in Martinez, California. If approved, the Project will permit: three existing Carbon monoxide (CO) boilers referred to as CO Boiler #1, #2, and #3; an aboveground 47,750 gallon storage tank referred to as Tank 12038; burning of three waste streams (Dissolved Nitrogen Flotation [DNF], Waste Biosludge and Waste Biosolids) and storage of these waste streams in Tank 12038.
