Document Description
The General Plan Amendment #12-0001 proposes to amend the Land Use Element of the General Plan as it relates to the Torres-Martinez Desert Cahuilla Indian lands and Open Space/Recreation designations for the project site in Imperial County. The Zone Change #12-0001 is to change the existing properties in Imperial County to "Specific Plan Area". The Specific Plan is for a 4,918 acre master-planned community along the east and west sides fo SR 86S, five Districts, and includes three jurisdictions, Riverside County, Imperial County and Torres-Martinez Desert Cahuilla Indian Tribe. The project proposes the construction of a total of 16,665 residential units and 5,029,500 square feet of non-residential development. This includes approximately 1,410 acres of TMDCI lands of which 647 acres are in Imperial County.
