Document Description
The primary purpose of the Project is to restore Alviso Slough to pre-1983 conditions, when a more open water habitat allowed for better navigation and recreation in the area. Six alternatives are proposed for restoration of Alviso Slough, including the required No Project Alternative. Project Alternative No. 3 was approved by the Santa Clara Valley Water District Boards of Directors on 11/10/09 which has a vegetation and root mass removal and dredging to an 8-foot depth over 3.7 acres within Alviso Slough.
