The SAFCA proposes the development of a levee improvement project over a portion of the levees surrounding the Natomas Basin. The Project will result in permanent and temporary impacts to a combined total of 204 acres of giant garter snake and Swainson's hawk habitat. Project-related impacts are expected to result in the take of giant garter snake and Swainson's hawk, species protected by the CESA.
