Document Description
The Feather River Inn has been operated as a resort sine the late 1800s. At one point it was the Feather River Prep School and, before the recent change in ownership, was owned and operated by the University of the Pacific as a resort. A golf course facility was located north and south of State Highway 70 until recently when the southerly portion of the golf course was abandoned due to inadequate access across State Highway 70. The golf course to the north of State Highway 70 has been redesigned and landscaped. The owners have applied for and received various building permits for construction for new motel units, demolition of unsafe structures, and restoration and rehabilitation of the lodge.
