Document Description
The Andalucia Development project proposes to alter the streambed and banks through maintenance and removal of debris, and exotic and non-native species. The project consists of 2 phases: Phase I (exploration phase) and Phase II (future bank stabilization phase). The Department will be notified for work associated with Phase II in the fall after the Phase I, exploratory work has been conducted and the details regarding bank stabilization are identified by a seperate notification. This SAA is for Phase I activities only. The only existing debris that is layered on top of the existing riprap on the west bank will be removed using a backhoe and by hand crews. The majority of the material layered on top of the riprap appears to be debris, and includes concrete slabs, pipes, wooden palettes, green-waste, and accumulated sediment, all of which will be removed.
Non-native vegetation on both banks of the subject reach of the Creek totaling ~0.17 acres will be removed by hand crews,
