Document Description
The City of Delano is proposing to construct and operate a maximum of twelve new domestic water supply wells throughout and near the City, and install arsenic wellhead treatment units at two existing wells (Wells Nos. 21 & 24). Each arsenic treatment plant will utilize a coagulation and filtration treatment processes and will include a 150,000-gallon bolted steel tank to store backwash wastes, and a 400-gallon double-containment vessel intended to store ferric chloride and sulfuric acid. Each new well will include the addition of a chlorine disinfection facility which will include a 1000-gallon sodium hypochlorite storage reservoir. other ancillary components will include 8-12 inch diameter water mains & 6-8 inch diameter sewer mains at each well, all approx 400-feet or less in length; well pumps & motors, and well houses.
