Document Description
PG&E proposes a Land Treatment Unit to maintain hydraulic control of the groundwater plume containing hexavalent chromium released from the Hinkley Compressor Station. The project is proposed on the northeast corner of Mountain View Road and State Hwy. 58 in Hinkley, San Bernardino County. The purpose of this project is to protect public and the environment by achieving hydraulic control and cleanup of a groundwater plume containing total chromium and hexavalent chromium. The project includes two elements: (1) hydraulic control of plume by extraction of groundwater and (2) treatment of extracted groundwater containing Cr(VI) through subsurface drip irrigation.
