The project consists of the installation of four 80-foot-tall poles mounted on a two-foot concrete base. Each pole will accommodate sixteen 1500-watt halide lamps for a total of 64 lights. Two poles will be located on each side of the football field with the lights pointed at a downward angle toward the field. The light poles are made of galvanized steel and the 16 luminaries are anodized aluminum. The luminaries are equipped with glared control louvers and shields with a black finish. There are no plans to paint the poles or light shields with another color.
