Document Description
The proposed project consists of improvements to the Central Avenue Flood Control Facility in two areas to minimize the risk of flooding. At the western area, stormwater collected on Central Avenue would be rerouted to outlet in the channel west of Dawsonia Street, rather than down Hazelhurst Court. The existing Hazelhurt Court storm drain system would then only carry local water to outlet in the channel. At the eastern area, the existing floodwall would be extended and sealed. Other minor associated improvements include construction of a J-wall in the channel, replacement of existing flap-gates to improve function, and construction of a larger inlet near the flood wall.
