Document Description
The project approved by the Department of Fish and Game involves the issuance of an incidental take permit (ITP) under the California Endangered Species Act (CESA). Issuance of the ITP authorizes take of Mohave ground squirrel (Spermophilus mohavensis), a State listed threatened species, in connection with the subdivision and development of approximately 79 acres of undeveloped land into a single-family residential community. The ITP includes measures to minimize and fully migitate all impacts of the taking of Mohave ground squirrel, including the acquistion and preservation in perpetuity of 79 acres of habitat for the species.
