The City of Porterville has initiated a comprehensive update of its General Plan, which is an opportunity for community members to explore long-term goals and development for the City. The State of California requires every city and county to have a comprehensive General Plan that serves as a constitution for long-term physical development. The Plan identifies current and future needs in areas such as economic development, land use, circulation, noise, open space and conservation, public services, safety and environmental quality.
