Document Description
In accordance with the California Complete Streets Act of 2008 (AB 1358), the City of Oakland adopted a Complete Streets Policy to further ensure that Oakland streets provide safe and convenient travel options for all users. In addition, the City adopted amendments to Title 12 and 16 of the Oakland Municipal Code that are intended to: (1) clarify and update the City's Street Design Standards; and (2) designate the Public Works Director or designee responsible for updating and establishing design and construction standards consistent with the Complete Streets Policy.
