Document Description
Approximately 17,000 lineal feet of deteriorated concrete pipelines (agricultural drainage lines) will be replaced with high-density polyethylene (HDPE) perforated pipe at three locations (Avenue 64 West Drain, Jackson 0.5 Drain, Avenue 64-Harrison Street North Drain) near the community of Thermal in unincorporated Riverside County. The agricultural drain lines are required in order to collect perched groundwater and convey it from agricultural lands into the Coachella Valley Stormwater Channel. The purpose of this project is to replace 40 to 50-year-old agricultural drain tiles that are deteriorated along three sections of the agricultural drainage system. The HDPE pipe will be installed along the same alignments (easements) of the existing deteriorated drain lines at a depth of 8 to 15 feet. Some dewatering may be required for the project.
