The Valley Hi Country Club lies directly north of the project and homes are located at both the eastern and western project limits, also on the north side of the roadway. East of Fire Poppy Drive on the south side of the road are several homes, however the west side is currently not developed and is vacant. No agricultural resources are located in the vicinity of the project area.
Document Description
The proposed project would the addition of a modified roadway section measuring 38 feet from the existing median curb to the back of curb with a 5-foot detached sidewalk behind a main stand of trees. The lane segment would extend from Laguna Lake Way to approximately 2,400 feet west. A bicycle lane, sidewalk, curb/gutter, and stormwater drainage facility along the westbound segment of Elk Grove Boulevard between Laguna Lake Way and Franklin Boulevard would also be added. Most work would take place within the roadway right-of-way in the City of Elk Grove, with small amounts of right-of-way required for sidewalk completion. The project would include: Grading, drainage modifications and installation, pavement installation, new sidewalk, installation of roadside lighting, tree removal, and road re-stripping.
