Document Description
The City of Vacaville Public Works Department is proposing to widen the existing Monte Vista Avenue Bridge over Ulatis Creek on both its north and south sides from the current width of 62 feet wide to a maximum width of 92 feet. The widening will include a maximum of 13 feet on the south side and a maximum of 18 feet on the north side, including a new crash rail. Construction will involve the placement of wing walls, pier walls, and pile caps beyond their current locations, and additional piles within Ulatis Creek. Construction activities within Ulatis Creek will include the installation of rock slope protection to stabilize creek banks, and the channel in the bridge zone to eliminate erosion potential within the Ulatis Creek channel. Project construction will also include several street improvements at the Dobbins Street / Monte Vista Avenue intersection.
