Document Description
Amendments to the Land Use Element of the Metropolitan Bakersfield General Plan and to the Bakersfield Zoning Ordinance are proposed in order to accommodate the development of approximately 2,334 single-family residential units on 466.84 acres proposed to be annexed to the City of Bakersfield. The proposed General Plan Amendment would redesignate 457.06 acres from R-IA (Resource-Intensive Agriculture) to LR (Low Density Residential) and 9.78 acres from RR (Rural Residential) to LR. Zone changes are proposed from County A (Agriculture) to R-1 (One Family Dwelling) on 275.25 acres. County A to R-1/PUD (One Family Dwelling/Planned Unit Development) on 181.81 acres, and County E(20)RS (Estate-Residential Suburban, 20 acre minimum lot size) to R-1 on 9.78 acres.
