Document Description
1) Within the 1.7-acre project area to intercept, capture, treat (reduce non-point source pollution), and infiltrate (percolate) a maximum percentage of surface storm water runoff from a contributory, developed, offsite drainage of approximately seven acres; 2) within the project area to create one acre of riparian and wetland habitat and three acres of valley oak savannah habitat with a native perennial grass understory, 3) slow the peak runoff flow into the Los Angeles River to improve flood management conditions, 4) to maximize recharge of the underlying groundwater acquifer, and 5) to provide a natural area for the use and enjoyment of people and wildlife.
