Four areas of soil contamination and eleven areas of groundwater contamination are evaluated in the CMS Report. Different cleanup technologies are recommended in the CMS Report for areas with soil contamination and areas of groundwater contamination. The primary technologies for soil cleanup are excavation and off-site disposal of contaminated soil. The primary technologies recommended for groundwater are in situ flushing and monitored natural attenuation.
