Document Description
The California Department of Transportation proposes to replace a masonry parapet (rock/rubble barrier) on State Route 89 in El Dorado County. The project area is near the southern rim of Emerald Bay at Lake Tahoe. The structural integrity of the existing masonry parapet has deteriorated to a point where traditional "in-kind" maintenance repairs are no longer effective. Therefore, the replacement of the parapet will enhance the overall safety of SR 89 within the vicinity of the replacement barrier.
