Document Description
Salk Institute Master Plan: The project site is located at 10010 North Torrey Pines Road, south of Salk Institute Red Road. The project proposes amendments to the following existing permits: Conditional Use Permit No. 3841, Coastal Development/Conditional Use/Hillside Review Permits No. 90-1140. Also required with this Master Plan are a Planned Development Permit, Site Development Permit and a sewer easement abandonment. The project proposes to construct an additional 210,000 square feet of building area to include: a core facility to house specialized equipment, day care facility for employees, support buildings, a laboratory building, temporary residential quarters, central plant expansion and underground parking. The proposed project also contains development and design guidelines for several of the buildings proposed on the Salk Institute campus. The exitsing campus contains approximately 290,000 square feet of building area and 600 parking spaces.
