Document Description
The County of Tulare, as lead agency under CEQA, is considering an application for Surface Mining Permit/Reclamation Plan (PMR) 03-001. This is a proposal by Lemon Cove Granite to continue to operate and to expand an existing granite quarry on Avenue 328, approximately one mile east of State Route 198 (SR 198), near the community of Lemon Cove in Tulare County. The quarry currently operates as a hard rock surface mining operations, as well as mining operations expansion from 22 acres to 28 acres. Crushing and screening are currently part of the mining operation, and these activities will continue as part of the proposed operation.
