Document Description
The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) proposes to upgrade two existing curves on State Route 16 in San Joaquin County. Located north of the Calaveras River Bridge between kilometer posts 24.6 and 25.6 (post miles 15.3 and 15.9), this safety project would realign the two-lane conventional 7.3 meter (24-foot) highway and widen the shoulders to 2.4 meters (8 feet). A small amount of right-of-way would need to be acquired, and a construction easement would be needed.
