Document Description
Updates are proposed to the 2005 West L.A. College Facilities Master Plan (Master Plan). Compared to the 2005 Master Plan, the 2009 Master Plan would add an additional 62,356 square feet of space. The 2009 Master Plan includes: a revised, large Physical Education; new central plant; demolition of additional classrooms; relocation of media center (Watson Center), relocation of recycling center; smaller student services building, replacement of soccer with softball field, smaller reconfigured North parking structure (Lots 1 and 2), internal street changes. Since 2005 on-line student attendance has increased, such that future year projections result in fewer students on campus (15,300 in 2022 compared to 18,904 analyzed in the previous EIR).
