Document Description
The City of Riverside is the largest City within Southern California's Inland Empire. Over the next twenty years, both the City and the Inland Empire as a whole are anticipating substantial population growth. In 2001, the City of Riverside began a a series of activities to shape a new community vision, in part intended to ensure that future growth could be achieved while maintaining and enhancing the community's major assets and distinctive qualities. The project to be analyzed consists of the following major components:
1. Riverside General Plan: comprehensive update and revision;
2. Riverside Zoning Code: comprehensive update and revision;
3. Riverside Subdivision Ordinance: comprehensive update and revision;
4. Riverside Design Guidelines: new policy iplementation document consistent with General Plan and Zoning Code updates/revisions; and
5. Specific Plan for Magnolia Avenue Corridor.
