The proposed project will convey recycled water purchased from the City of San Diego's South Bay Water Reclamation Plant and distribute it to customers within the District via a 30-inch transmission pipeline, 450-1 Reservoir and 680-1 Pump Station. The proposed alignment connects to an existing 30-inch supply pipeline owned by the City of San Diego in Dairy Mart Road and continues northeasterly for approximately 6 miles in Dairy Mart Road, Beyer Boulevard, Del Sur Boulevard, Del Sol Boulevard, Main Street, Dennery Road, Brandywine Avenue, and Sequoia Street. In Sequoia Street, the pipeline connects to the reservoir's proposed inlet pipeline in West Point Drive, then follows a proposed access road northeasterly to the pump station and reservoir. The outlet pipeline from the proposed reservoir will travel northeasterly along existing dirt pathways where it terminates at an existing connection in Olympic Parkway. Trenchless construction will be utilized to minimize environmental impacts where the pipeline is proposed to cross under wetland habitat in the Otay River Valley from Dennery Road to Otay Valley Road near Auto Park Drive.
