Document Description
Note: Addendum #2
The Sierra Madre Apartments project received design approval September 21, 2004 and was subsequently permitted by the California Coastal Commission in 2006. The project was analyzed in a Final EIR certified by the Regents for the Faculty and Family Student housing, Open Space Plan, and for Amendment of the Long Range Development Plan (2004 Final EIR 200307118). Following design approval, the campus and the Public Private Partnership developer were unable to reach mutually agreeable terms and terminated the development relationship, which has delayed its construction. The approval the Project budget to allow University (vs. private) delivery of the Project triggers a separate discretionary action subject to CEQA.
