Document Description
NOTE: Reference SCH# 2005031138. The proposed new and modified project laterals consists of the installation of various recycled water laterals totaling ~80,000 linear ft within various of cities of Torrance, Redondo Beach, El Segundo and Carson of Los Angeles County. Upon completion of the Project, the WBMWD system will have the capacity to provide over 302 acre ft of recycled water per year. WBMWD has performed extensive coordination with the cities and customers for providing recycled water and installations of pipelines within their jurisdiction. Various size pipeline diameters would be utilized for distribution of recycled water to customers. The pipeline diameters would range from 3 inch to 42 inch, depending on location within the system and type of customers being served. Most constructed pipeline will maintain a minimum buried cover of at least 4 ft beneath the surface. Complete installation of the new Project Laterals are anticipated to occur within about 1 to 2 years. However, design and construction timing of the Project Lateral is dependent upon customer readiness and available funding. The order of Project Lateral implementation has been estimated based on existing customer information and current funding.
