Document Description
The construction activities described here is part of a larger project already constructed that included redevelopment of an 83-acre site into a new transit-oriented development. This Project is limited to the installation of a sewer force main which will transfer effluent from the earlier, completed project to the city of San Mateo's Norfolk Street sewer. The sewer alignment will begin approximately 80 feet south of the Borel Creek Overhead Crossing and transverse north by northeast to the Fiesta Meadow Park where it will cross underneath Borel Creek. A 12.75-inch diameter high density polyethylene pipe sewer force main will be installed approximately 34 feet underneath Borel Creek by horizontal directional drilling. The entry pit and receiving hole will both be located on public land on Bermada Drive and within the Fiesta Meadows Park. The California Department of Fish and Wildlife is executing a Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement Number 1600-2013-0115-R3 pursuant to Section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code to the project Applicant, City of San Mateo Department of Public Works as represented by Susanna Chan.
