Document Description
Caltrans proposes to replace the existing box culvert at Franciscan Creek with a larger (12 ft x 10 ft) box culvert that will span the width of the new 4 lane expressway. The channel will be realigned, requiring ~283 cy of excavation and 260 cy of fill material. Rock Slope Protection (RSP) will be added to the exit and the drop inlet at the entrance will be paved with concrete. The existing box culvert at Bitterwater Creek will be removed and replaced with 2 new span bridges. Inlets will be added to drain the median. The northern bridge will require ~360 cy of excavation and 560 cy of fill; the southern bridge will require ~685 cy of excavation and 560 of cy of fill. RSP will be added at the ends of the new drainage culverts.
