Document Description
The proposed Robert A. Skinner Filtration Plant-Reliability and Quality Program would include two primary components: a new 110-mgd treatment module (Module No. 7) at Plant 2 and a 630-mgd Oxidation Retrofit Program (ORP) to augment the plant's disinfection capabilities. Two options are under consideration for the ORP: one using ozone and the other chlorine dioxide. In addition to these primary components, the proposed program would involve installation of numerous ancillary facilities at the plant needed to upgrade the treatment systems and to improve overall plant operation. The proposed Program would make the Skinner Plant capable of meeting the forecasted water demand for southwestern Riverside and San Diego counties through the year 2025.
