Document Description
The proposed project involves the construction of a new east-west freeway referred to as the Westside Parkway and a concurrent Specific Plan Line Amendment. The alignment proposed for the Westside Parkway generally comprises the easterly portion of the Cross Valley Canal Alignment as described in the Tier 1 Route 58 Route Adoption EIS/EIR. The Westside Parkway would be ~8.1 miles long and extend from approximately Heath Road to a point near SR 99 at Truxtun Avenue in the City of Bakersfield and an unincorporated portion of Kern County. The project also includes the extension of Mohawk Street South from Rosedale Highway, across the Kern River, to Truxtun Avenue.
