Document Description
The project includes the OMF, associated new track to access the OMF, and relocation of utilities that currently cross the Airport Blvd property. The proposed OMF at Airport Blvd would house rail vehicle maintenance facilities, an operations control center (dispatch), administrative offices, and possibly other support services such as training and security. The Fulton site would serve as a secondary or ancillary facility to the main Airport Blvd site because of limited space at the Airport site. For the initial operations of the SMART project, the Fulton site would be used for limited storage of equipment within an unpaved fenced area on the property, if space is needed in addition to the Airport Blvd site. At full buildout, the Fulton site would house a Maintenance-of-Way (MOW) shop and fenced maintenance/storage area at the north end of the site on the west side of the SMART ROW.
