An emergency Coastal Development Permit for the removal of eight, 90 to 100 foot, Monterey Cypress trees which are highly susceptible to windthrow was issued on August 16, 2002. According to S312-15 of the HCC, a "follow-up" CDP must then be processed in accordance to the rules and regulations of the coastal zoning regulations. No issues or concerns were raised by other agencies as a result of the emergency permit referrals. The work has been completed.
