Document Description
Applicant has requested an amendment to their Conditional Use Permit for installation and operation of a metal shredding facility at their existing rail car dismantling and salvage operation. Project involves the relocation of an existing metal shredder facility from Carson, California. The existing shredder facility would be dismantled and reassembled at the project site. Various improvements would be made to the facility, including improvements to reduce noise associated with opreation of the shredder. The metal shredder would occupy approximately 12,000 square feet near north side of the project site. The facility would shred automobile bodies, rail cars and other scrap metal; and separate metal and non-metallic materials.
