Document Description
Construction of the Residential Life Resource Center (RLRC) building would provide approximately 8,800 gross square feet and 5,680 assignable square feet (ASF) to consolidate the Housing and Residential Services (H&RS) Department into one location. Several ornamental trees (non-native), pedestrian pathways (sidewalks), and an ornamental lawn area would be removed as part of the project. The proposed project area would be re-landscaped with native vegetation and pedestrian access would be improved. This project tiers off UCSB's Long Range Development Plan EIR SCH#87022516 for visual quality and land use impacts due to cumulative loss of open space. The UC Regents adopted a statement of overriding considerations for this impact.
