Document Description
The proposed project will install thirteen culverts in ephemeral drainages adjacent to the northwest arm of Nacimiento Lake to create an access and fire road for a large housing development. All culverts will be constructed of 18- to 24-inch diameter high density polyethylene (HDPE) pipe. The culverts will be placed on gravel beds, and will range in length from 50 linear feet (Culverts 11 and 12) to 500 linear feet (Culvert 10). Nacimiento Lake is located in the rugged, coastal Santa Lucia Mountains in northern San Lucia Mountains in northern San Luis Obispo County. The California Department of Fish and Game (DFG) is executing a Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement Number R3-2002-0308 pursuant to Section 1603 of the Fish and Game Code to the project operator, Ms. Natalie Wurth, Newport Equity, Inc.
