Document Description
City is developing a regional water reclamation project to produce high quality recycled water from its wastewater effluent for reuse and to ultimately eliminate its wastewater discharges. In addition, the City is also evaluating providing sewage treatment for up to 4 million gallons per day (mgd) from the Hilmar Cheese Company (Hilmar Cheese) in northern Merced County and up to 2 mgd from the City of Ceres to the north. As a result, the proposed project includes three elements including: The Local Project Component, The hilmar Cheese Component and The City of Ceres Component.
