Document Description
The Department of Military proposes to purchase two contiguous parcels, one is 10.39 acres and the other is 8.89 acres for a total of 19.28 acres. The site is located at the northwest corner of Highway 65 and McMertrey Avenue, in Bakersfield, Kern County, California. The site is needed to store military vehicles, including trucks and heavy equipment. Some areas of the site will be covered with crushed aggregates and others with asphalt. A fence with three strands of barbed wire will be erected for security. Lighting will also be provided in selected areas.
