MPWMD is proposing a water supply project that will provide legal compliance for reliably supplying water to meet existing levels of water production of 15,285 acre feet annually as a short-term goal and augment the community water supply as a long-term goal. A major component of the project is an aquifer storage and recovery system. The MPWMD will also consider water supply options including desalination and construction of a dam on the Carmel River.
